Dash cameras, or dashcams, have been very popular in other countries like Russia for some time now, mostly due to the prevalence of fraud, both by motorists as well as law enforcement. These camera images, sounds, and footage may be the only way to prove who was at fault in a crash. There are all different ways we can get in trouble, whether someone was running a red light, failed to yield to traffic, or just veered into your lane, without clear evidence or witness testimony, a dash cam can make the difference in the outcome.  If you are found at fault, your insurance premiums will go up, if you are fined, you often have to pay a penalty on top of that. You want a dash cam that will record all vehicle movement and even mark points of impact using G sensors.  Most use easy to remove micro SD cards for transferring the camera data. A dashcam with night vision is also important, especially if you drive around in poorly lit areas.
